I didn't really had a hard time getting in to this book. I really liked it but there are a few things that bothered me so that why I'm giving it three stars out of five.
I didn't really liked the cover of the book. it just didn't fit in my opinion.
I liked the fact that Iris was a bad-ass character. I'm always in to strong woman as a leading character. She was with the hunters and then some crazy stuff happend that got me in to reading it 'till the end of the book.
However I hated the end (i'll say more about that later on) and how Iris turned out.
Then we have the major plot twist that I saw coming but still blew me away. warlocks were Superposed to be extinct but they weren't it was a bit confusing for me. But that wasn't the biggest plot twist that blew my mind.
Iris is the kind of person who works hard but they don't appreciate her at all. They used quite the mainstream thoughts of man and woman in this book and I didn't like that at all. I mean isn't it supposed to be the modern day so way keep the hunters in an old fashion way.
Knox is the older brother of Iris and I really liked him, he reminded me of my own brother in many ways. The fact that he would do anything for his little sister was amazing en really sweet.
Arlo story got me the most actually. his past of being only child and not knowing who his father is was rather sad, When he turned out something he that I sure didn't expect at all it just seemed to odd to believe.
Silos was supposed to be a character that would have a major influence but he seemed more like a side character to me. Even though I totally loved him! it is a shame it turned out like that but his character was still amazing. The reason I loved him the most from all the male characters is also because he is Scottish and lets be honest here for a second lady's who wouldn't love to have a Scottish man by there side.
Belinda was a whole other level of odd. I didn't really liked her character at all. she chanced to much through the story and it was quit confusing.
back to the ending of the book. I ABSOLUTELY HATED IT! it just didn't seemed finished, if it is supposed to be an open ending than I would even hate it more because I don't like open endings at all. I really hope that there is going to be a sequel because well like I said it didn't feel like it was finished at all. there were so many questions unanswered.
the writer had all these different types of witches which made it better than I expected. but in the end there was so much I didn't agree with at all. I had high expectations from this book and it didn't turn out that good.
