Goodreads Synopsis:
When nineteen-year-old huntress Feyre
kills a wolf in the woods, a beast-like creature arrives to demand retribution
for it. Dragged to a treacherous magical land she only knows about from
legends, Feyre discovers that her captor is not an animal, but Tamlin—one of
the lethal, immortal faeries who once ruled their world.
As she dwells on his estate, her feelings
for Tamlin transform from icy hostility into a fiery passion that burns through
every lie and warning she's been told about the beautiful, dangerous world of
the Fae. But an ancient, wicked shadow grows over the faerie lands, and Feyre
must find a way to stop it . . . or doom Tamlin—and his world—forever.
Thoughts:
This book has elements of beauty and the
beast. that is actual pretty awesome because I love beauty and the beast!
I actually feel bad for feyre and damn I
hate her sisters and father. Like damn what kind of father lets his youngest
daughter hunt for food while he sits on his cottage carving wood. And then her
sisters...
The spoiled brats. Their sister is hunting
for food and sell pelts for money and yet they are like '' yeah lets spend all
the money because our need are more important than food right now!'' I got so
frustrated. Luckily they changed through the story, I can't believe Nesta for
actually following her sister. I didn't expect her to do that.
When Feyre kills that wolf, I almost
cried. ( I have a thing for wolfs) but after that when Tamlin comes to get her
I was rather shocked. I fell for Tamlin like withing 5 seconds of his
appearance in the book. Not the I fell in love kind but rather i literally
fell.
The way the describes Feyre's life behind
the wall it beautiful and once again rather sad. The landscapes and the faerie
are not only beautiful but fascinating.
The way they uses the fairy tail beauty
and the beast is pretty awesome because we all know how belle loves to read and
our beautiful Ferye can't read but she loves to paint! Lets talk a bit about
the other characters.
Tamlin was at first exciting and different
and then he turned out to be rather boring. He kept being mysterious through
the book until the big plot twist. If you could call it a plot twist I don't
know it was so good that I was still confused.
And then there is Lucien. The man who ran
away from the autumn court. at first you would hate him but after awhile you
start to understand him more and you'll like him more more. I started to see
him as an older brother type.
Lets not forget about Rhysand. He is the
one and only for me in this book! you may have noticed that I have a thing with
bad guys but he isn't really the '' bad guy '' at least in my opinion. He isn't
boring and loves game. He is rather smart when he tricks Feyre. I'm absolutely
in love with him
anyways this book was amazing and I loved
it. unfortunately I have to wait until may 2016 for the sequel.
